Complete and partial dentures are a valuable and long-lasting smile and tooth replacement for those who have them. If this has peaked your interest, know you are not the only person interested. Many people have visited Mint Dental Loft to see our dentist, Dr. Tran Han, as she has helped numerous individuals regain or restore their smile with complete and partial dentures in Altadena, California. Call 626.639.8618 today to learn more about this popular, restorative oral appliance!

Dentures consist of prosthetic teeth, and are designed to replace multiple missing teeth. They are a custom-made, removable oral appliance, and allow you to regain your ability to eat, speak and smile with confidence. Dentures also restore and support your natural facial volume to improve your overall appearance.

There are two main types of dentures:

  • Complete Dentures – Complete dentures replace all the teeth in a dental arch. They may replace the either the upper or lower arch or both dental arches.
  • Partial Dentures – Partials are recommended when you still have some healthy teeth remaining. This type of denture includes a thin framework or clasps that attach to the natural teeth to give the appliance a more secure fit.

In most cases, you will receive dentures after you have healed from the extraction or loss of your teeth. Occasionally, however, our dentist may provide immediate dentures, which are created and placed immediately after your natural teeth have been removed. Dentures may also be anchored into place through dental implants when necessary.

Plan on several appointments with our dentist when you receive dentures. We will take the time to ensure that your dentures fit and function properly to ensure your comfort while wearing them. We will also provide you with instructions on how to care for your dentures and keep them in good condition, and we will check your dentures at each of your regular appointments to determine if they need any maintenance or repairs.
